Stud Farm

Friesian Horse Stud „FRISO” in Papielsk (20 km from Gdańsk), started up in May 2008. It is a breeding stable which is based exclusively on high quality mares imported from Holland, with the Ster title*. All of the mares are inseminated with semen from stallions with the Dutch licence for mating, and there are good results in offspring. In selection the stallions we consult breeders from the best Dutch stables, and we also analyse the mare inspection sheets.

The stud farm aims at winning excellent horses representing various types of the Friesian Horse destined both for breeding and sport.

The first mares came to us from Holland at the end of April 2008. These were "semi-sisters" from the reputable stud farm: Ackelien K. and Lyster K. after the common father Folkert 353 Sport.

The first of them came already in foal, and on the 24th May, 2008, she gave birth to a beautiful colt after the champion from the year 2008 Haitse 425. The colt was given the name Coen G. All the foals from the stud „FRISO” will get names that end with the letter "G". This distinguishes their names and indicates the first letter of the owner’s surname.

We are a member of The Koninklijke Vereniging "Het Friesch Paarden-Stamboek" (KFPS) with a seat in Drachten (member nr R-1017188).
